Fundamental Ideas of School Technology

Investigation

An investigation which is herein described as a paper but may instead take another form of communication reasonably following the guidelines described. A paper, not to exceed ten-typed double-spaced pages, will be due November 30. The paper should be an exploration of a technology topic which could be taught in a technology education class. A list of possible topics is below. If you would like to choose a topic other than those on the list please clear it with an instructor by November 16. This is an indvidual assignment. The paper should include:

• a brief history of the technology.
• how the technology effects and is effected by society.
• a description of how the technology works.
• why students should know about the technology.
• a description of how you would teach about the technology, including what the Math, Science and Technology Education links are.
• at least 12 properly cited references (APA style) with at least 4 from the journals listed below.
