Class Policies:
• Student must take the final examination in order to pass the class.
• Students are expected to attend class and participate.  Please let me know if you will not    be attending class on a particular day by emailing me or calling and leaving a message with the Eilene (292-7471).
Attendance is required. Don't waste my time and other student's time by being absent. Attendance will affect your grade. Activities are specifically designed as in-class endeavors. Attendance is mandatory, due to the participatory nature of the course activities. After two (2) unexcused absences, 10 percentage points will be deducted from your final grade. After six (6) unexcused absenses you will fail this course. What you put into the course is what you will get out of it. Conflicts with examination days need to be arranged at least two class meetings before the day of the exam so that arrangements can be made to reschedule the examination. IF arrangements are NOT made there will be NO make-ups. Thank you.

Academic Misconduct:
Faculty Rules 3335-5-54 which states “Each Instructor shall report to the committee on academic misconduct all instances of what they believe may be academic misconduct” will be followed. Academic misconduct includes: substituting another’s work as your own, either in written or product form. If you have any questions regarding a behavior that might constitute academic misconduct, consult the instructor.

Reasonable Accommodation:
It is policy of The Ohio State University to provide for reasonable accommodations to our students.  If you would like to request such accommodation because of a physical, mental, or learning disability, please contact me individually within the first two weeks of class.  Any requests made will remain confidential.

Paper:
Normally we would go on several field trips, but due to the time of this class will be impossible to do any.  I will try to work something out, but we will have to resort to some sort of research paper, therfore, a 5 page paper will be required to pass the class.  The paper will be in strict APA style with a minimun of 6 references.  The topic will be a manufacturing process of your choice.
