You may select any area
which interests you and which is related to this course. Readings may be
research based; practitioner (teacher or other) based; or deals with
legislative/political themes. Further, you may review work that is related
diversity in technology education. The readings list on the syllabus is a good
starting point. Your readings should relate to technology education.
Reading and
Abstracting Studies

the article, write an abstract including a precise statement of what the
purpose of the article was, what was done (procedures, teaching techniques,
etc.), and what the conclusions or results of the article are. Avoid distorting
the authorÕs ideas by sticking as closely as possible to his/her terminology.
(Approximately 1.5 pages, 12-point font, 1-inch margins.) Use the attached form
for each abstract. Include your personal article rating for each reading.
Provide a brief, less than 5 minutes, description of what you learned in class.
