Reading and Abstracting Studies

After you read the article, write an abstract including a precise statement of what the purpose of the article was, what was done (procedures, teaching techniques, etc.), and what the conclusions or results of the article are. Avoid distorting the authorÕs ideas by sticking as closely as possible to his/her terminology. (Approximately 1.5 pages, 12-point font, 1-inch margins.) Use the attached form for each abstract. Include your personal article rating for each reading. Provide a brief, less than 5 minutes, description of what you learned in class.
