The Outstanding Scholarly Publication Award in Technology Education is co-sponsored by the Silvius &endash; Wolansky Foundation and the Council on Technology Teacher Education and is awarded annually to an individual whose scholarly activity has enhanced the Technology Education profession. Nominations for the award should come from professionals directly involved in Technology Teacher Education programs or through self-nomination from professionals in Technology Teacher Education.
1. The manuscript should make a significant contribution to new insights or directions in technology education in one or more areas such as curriculum development, teaching methodology, evaluation, and research.
2. The relevance and timeliness of the publication will be based upon the following equally weighted evaluation criteria:
(a) Originality of the contribution
(b) Quality of the contribution
(c) Content and clarity of purpose
(d) Organizational presentation
(e) Potential impact on the future
3. The nominee(s) must hold a full-time assignment at an accredited college or university, where the candidate(s) is(are) in technology teacher education.
4. The individual(s) must be nominated by a person in technology education. On jointly authored manuscripts the authors should be nominated as a group. The nomination should include 5 copies of an original or high quality reproduction of the publication and optionally a one-page rationale that addresses the significance of the publication for the nomination. (For books and monographs, check with the contact person listed below to determine if more than one copy is needed.)
5. An individual may receive the award no more than once in any five-year period.
6. The scholarly effort must be in the form of a published article, research report, chapter, monograph, or book. It must have been published within the two calendar years preceding the nomination deadline.

2. Selection will be made by a sub-committee of the CTTE Publications Committee.
3. The recipient of the award will be notified in February and will be invited to attend the International Technology Education Association conference where the award is presented.
